Phase II programming—available through First Step Recovery and Parkman Recovery—offers a vital opportunity for individuals seeking to solidify their recovery journey. Designed to provide a supportive environment that bridges the gap between residential care and independent sober living, Phase II is an ideal choice for motivated clients who have recently completed a 30-day residential program.
Clients engaged in Phase II experience increased independence, with opportunities for off-site outings (when accompanied by family or sober support). This phase also emphasizes strengthening the recovery lifestyle through participation in 12-step meetings, which are crucial for maintaining long-term sobriety.
Moreover, Phase II offers case management services that assist clients in navigating various aspects of independent living. These services include help with legal issues, future housing assistance, coordinating medical care, enhancing financial literacy and providing educational support. Such resources are invaluable in helping individuals rebuild their lives on solid ground.
Participants also benefit from Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP) and additional group/individual counseling sessions that further bolster their recovery foundation.
Safe and structured housing is provided along with three daily meals prepared by First Step Recovery chefs, ensuring that all basic needs are met so clients can fully focus on recovery.
Phase II accommodates up to 14 men and13 women and varies in duration according to the individual's needs. We welcome referrals from inpatient facilities to ensure a seamless transition into this next stage of recovery.
John's* testimonial highlights the transformative impact of Phase II:
“I was hesitant to come from residential to the Phase II program. When I got there, I was greeted with an orientation and was asked what my goals/needs were. I was able to get a new social security card and ID pretty quick. I found a sponsor after two weeks, and started working my steps while building some support in the area since I am not from here. They helped me with rides to my legal appointments and helped me find sober living. I am grateful for coming to Phase II, and I am in sober living and aftercare now. I recommend it!”
